Now in production on its third series, EVE follows the adventures of a robot living with a family in suburbia and trying to make sense of human life as a teenage girl. EVE was created by Tracey Beaker Returns’ Emma Reeves and David Chikwe. The series stars Poppy Lee Friar (Mr Selfridge) who was nominated for a Children's BAFTA for her performance, Oliver Woolford (Utopia) and Jane Asher. Emma Reeves' finale episode was awarded the 2015 WGGB Award for the best episode of children's TV. Series 1 also won an RTS Scotland award for Best Children's Programme and gained a nomination for Best Children's Programme at the Broadcast Awards.
EVE is a family drama, a sci-fi adventure series and a fish-out of-water comedy all at the same time. On one level it’s a show about the big ‘teen questions’ but in exploring Eve’s predicament the show also asks: “What is life?”, “What does it mean to be human?” and ultimately, “What is the destiny of humanity?”.
Series 1 first aired from January 2015 on CBBC. Series 2 began airing in January 2016.
EVE is internationally distributed by Argonon International.
